Brief Description:
Local small business car rental company looks to grow. We need the right candidate to help manage the car lot (30-50 cars, lots of customers). The goal is to increase open hours from M-F 9-5 and occasional weekend afternoons to M-Th 9-6, F 9-7, Sat/Sun 4-5/hrs a day.
Position would require at least 1-2 months training depending on candidate. Candidate would report to the operations manager. Candidate will need to clean cars, but that is not the sole job function.
Requirements:
– Resume including education, work history, references
– 21 or up
– excellent driving record – we will run a driving history
– no criminal/felony history – we will run a background check
Work Schedule:
– Part or full time depending on candidate (20-40/week)
– Ability to work some weekends scheduled in advance (not every weekend unless that is the desired work rotation)
– Ability to be available some holidays (again, not every, and scheduled in advance)
Desired skills:
– Current, valid drivers license without restrictions
– Tech savvy, specifically from a cell phone
– Basic knowledge about cars and car maintenance preferred, but not required
– Common sense and ability to learn and retain new information
– Safe driving habits, including maintaining speed limits, defensive driving, etc
– Ability to work independently but know when to ask for help. Maturity in work schedule and work detail a must.
Compensation:
– $12.50-$18/hr depending on skill, experience, education.
– First 4-8 weeks will be a lower training rate with an automatic raise at the end of that period.
– Job will be a 1099 contracted position and w9 required prior to starting
Responsibilities include:
– Meet demands in a fast paced environment that requires a quick turn around of vehicles
– Manage rental fleet to ensure vehicle condition is documented prior to rental.
– Manage incoming rentals to ensure vehicle has not sustained any damage during customers rental. Document and report any damages.
– Interact in a professional manner with customers
– Assist with Vehicle Delivery and Pick up from offsite locations
